Artist Story

The Gilded Divide

**The Gilded Divide** was created around the idea that the most beautiful transformations often happen **between two different worlds**.

Soft ivory and warm stone tones meet deeper earth shades across the composition, representing the contrast between **calm and ambition, comfort and change, where we are and where we are going**.

Instead of separating these two sides completely, a luminous golden passage moves through the centre. It represents the defining moments, opportunities, and decisions that connect one chapter of life to the next.

Selected areas along this passage are designed for the hand application of **2–3 mm white and gold crystals**. Rather than covering the artwork, the crystals concentrate around the central transition, allowing real light to appear only at the most important point of the composition.

The neutral ivory, taupe, stone and warm metallic palette was chosen to complement sophisticated contemporary interiors while allowing the central gold detail to remain the focal point.
